This letterbox was planted as a part of the Gifts from Connecticut Series. Thank you Butterfly from Connecticut for bringing them out for us. It came to us from Durham, CN. I have a confession that I forgot to write down who carved the stamp, so if someone knows or finds out when they find it, please let me know, so I can give proper credit.

Letterbox difficulty: pretty easy-not even a hike, but it won't be accessible during winter months due to snow.

Go up through Snowbird Ski Resort and keep driving up Albion Basin Campground Road. 1.4 miles from the gate, where the pavement ends, is a marker for Alta Town Memorial Grove. Walk up the trail. From the north end of the granite observation point take 16 paces at 321 degrees to the trees. From the bottom of the rocks will be 5 paces at 263 degrees, then 18 paces at 334 degrees. This should take you to a solitary tree. Under its branches is a large rock, which the letterbox is hidden behind.

Enjoy!
