This stamp was carved and hidden by Captain Caleb, 9 years old.
Begin your hunt at Romanose State Park. It takes about 1 1/2 hours from Oklahoma City to the entrance of Roman Nose State Park. Take I-40 west to the highway 281/Geary exit. Go north on 281 through Geary. It will connect with 270 north. You continue through Watonga and approximately 5 miles farther North. Follow the road signs and turn left to the entrance of the Park.
Once in the park follow the road signs to the Lodge. Here you'll find a sign leading to a hiking trail. Begin here. Follow the trail down the stairs and over the bridge. At the end of the bridge there you have a choice, take the trail right up the hill. At the next "Y" go right. You'll come to another choice here go left up the steep incline to the top of the hill and head toward the arrow sign.
At this trail go right and pass by the sign which says "Wildlife of Prairie Upland." Welcome to the Romanose Multi Use Trail. Continue on the path that way. Soon the trail curves left. Just at the curve look left and you'll see a large stand of 4 evergreens tight together. A gypsum rock hides the treasure behind and at the base of these trees.
Enjoy the hike and continue on to find the next box in this series.
