Easy walk on very flat trail. Good for kids. Some of this land and probably the letterbox is in Bloomfield but since the starting point is West Hartford, I decided to list it that way. Two miles round trip.
Directions (stolen from RTRW)
From the North, South and East: Take I-91 North or South to I-84 West to Exit 40 (New Britain Avenue/Corbins Corner). At the end of exit ramp, take a right onto Ridgewood Road. Follow Ridgewood Road to the end. Take a left onto Farmington Avenue and then take the first right onto Mountain Road. At the second traffic light, take a left onto Albany Avenue. Reservoir #6 is 1.1 miles on the right.

Clues: Park in the first lot as you enter and walk north through two green gates onto a wide dirt path. Soon you'll see that this is a blue blazed trail with lots of No Biking signs. Follow this trail, keeping the reservoir on your right, for awhile or until you see a path to the left of the trail with a No Biking sign. There are several such paths (I think this might be the third or fourth) and after the Bloomfield Town Line sign. It is also directly opposite the brick pump house across the water. Go left up this path, pass Store Bought, pass a cement pipe on the left perpendicular to the trail, pass a second cement pipe on the left (this one parallel to the trail). Just after this one the trail curves left with a four foot stump on the right and a clearing on the left. After the clearing look left for a two sister tree with a flat rock in front of it. Behind the right end under a small flat rock is the box. Make sure the flat rock is on top of the box because there's no overhang back there. Thanks.
