This is a holiday series and will be pulled 1-17-05. Boxes 1-12 are mini boxes and do not contain a log only a stamp. Box 13 has a log but no ink pad.
Box#1- On the first day of Chistmas my true love gave to me- A micro box in a tree.
Locate parking area for Radnor trail in South Wayne off of Conestoga Rd.Near intersection with Brookeside Ave.From parking lot head West. Lookout for a white shed on the hill on the N side of trail. You should see a large 2 trunked tree. Box at the base.
Box#2-On the second day of Christmas my true love gave to me 2 tupperware containers.
Go over bridge over Church St. At beginning of fence on both sides of trail you will see it marked by hanging greens with red bow. Locate row of rocks. Box is at end of row near the fence, between 2 rocks and near the small stump.
BOX#3-On the third day fo Christmas my true love gave to me-3 acid free logs.
Past Brooke Rd. bridge. 4 posted bridge pylons, no bridge. There is one on each side of the trail.Choose the one on the S side of trail. The box is at the base of pylon nest to the tree.
Box#4- On the fouth day of Crhistmas my true love gave to me-4 hiking sticks.
Find the 3 white chairs. On S side of trail in sight of concrete block wall is the stump of a large recently cut tree on a hill. Box is in hole at base of stump.
Box#5- on the fifth day fo Christmas my true love gave to me-5 golden compasses.
Past bridge over Maplewood. Beginning of rocks on both sides of trail. First large rock on N side of trail. Box is at the far edge of rock.
Box#6- on the sixth day fo Christmas my true love gave to me-6 noxers whinning.
On the Nside you will see a set of town houses. There is a path leading to them in front of a beige wall. Walk 9 steps from edge og paving. Large rock on your right. Box is at the base close to tree. From this bow you will head back to starting point.
Box#7On the seventh day of Christmas my true love gave to me-7 boots a pacing.
10 steps from edge of ramp from the last box.You are now heading E. S side of trail under large rock next to grey rock with rod shaped indentation.
Box# 8-On the eighth day of Christmas my true love gave to me-8 baggie ripping .
Proced down trail to the Wayne art center. The box is on the north side of the trail under a stump. The stump lies between 2 trees and is about 6 steps from trail. There is a red Private Property sign across the trail from it.
Box#9-On the ninth day of Christmas my true love gave to me-9 backpacks overloaded.
Cross Maplewoo. 12 steps from the end of the stockade fence on the N side of trail.There is a 3 trunked tree all by itself on N side of trail. Box is in crux.
Box#10-on the tenth day fo Christmas my true love gave to me-10 stamp-pads stamping.
Cross Brooke.
On North side of trail 4 tunked tree with small 5th trunk to the side. Tree is 65 steps past stockade fence on both sides.Tree is close to a fence.
Box#11-on the eleventh day fo Christmas my true love gave to me 11 Red Hat boxers boxing.
After bridge over Church st. look for large 3 trunked tree on N side of trail. Box is in the crux.
Box#12-on the twelth day fo Cristmas my true love gave to me-12 hitch-hikers waiting.
Look for large green boulder on the S side of trail. Box is at the base.
Log box- the Yule log.
Look for forest of pylons near parking lot. Count 3 from the end. Locate larger pylon next to 3rd one you just counted to. Box is behind this one. You may return to the warmth of your car to stamp in.
This series is about a 2 mile loop. Easy walk wheelchair and stroller accsessable. For refenence a step is half of a pace.
Please be descreet, this is a well traveled trail. Remember to rewrap well. Please e-mail me comments or questions.
