This is a five minute hike up a 300 foot hill in the middle of Thousand Oaks, just north of the Visitor's Center of the National Park Service (NPS), from which the city starts its 4th of July fireworks (the letterbox is not accessible 2 days before and a day after the 4th of July). Best to climb the hill starting from McCloud Av. where the water drainage channel runs parallel to the apartments.
On the top of the hill proceed to the most northernly rock (at least 3 feet high). The LB is hidden under the next rock east.
The box is not on NPS territory.
