** THIS BOX HAS BEEN RETIRED. **

Poor Odie has lost his friend Garfield (actually Garfield is hiding from Odie, but please don't tell him). Garfield told Odie that he wanted to take a nature hike so Odie went to the Garfield Nature Trail in Olympia.

Odie started at the trail head (on Roger St at the corner of Conger Way) and began his journey to find Garfield. He walked down some steps, past a bench and over a small bridge.

Odie saw an alder leaning on a maple and walked under it. Down more steps and over more bridges he went. Odie noticed some kind of green tressel that held a pipe. He continued on over a couple more bridges. He came to a bench and took a rest.

Odie was sad that he still could not find Garfield. He could see the harbor up ahead and hoped that Garfield was there. He resumed his hike and crossed one more bridge. He continued on until he reached another bench. He sat down and watched the boats for a bit.

Odie realized that Garfield was not here. Sadly, he stood up and began to head back towards the trail head. That was when he thought he heard Garfield calling his name! Odie hurried down the trail and passed a twin alder with ivy growing on it. This was on Odie's right. Odie then reached a slight curve and passed a two-headed maple. He went to its brother and looked in a cubby on the right. Whoo Hoo! He had found Garfield, hiding under a piece of bark!

NOTE: Please be discreet when finding and rehiding this box as this is a busy trail. Drop us an email at CootiesRUs@msn.com to let us know how Garfield's doing. This is a handcarved stamp by Cat Cootie, age 10 1/2.
