Find the trailhead to skyline trail and park in the parking lot below. Follow the skyline trail until you come to a sign that says "Things to do in Monterey" Enjoy the veiw of Monterey Bay, Seaside, Moss Landing and at times Santa Cruz. Now take a look behind you take a hike up the steep incline and stop at that large boulder and read the plaque. Okay enough of that, now turn right and take 22 steps down the trail to a large pine tree. On the SE side of the tree in a hole at base you will find your prize covered in sandstone and pine needles.
