This box is in the Morgan Territory Regional Preserve. It is a vast park with numerous trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. There are at least 2 other letterboxes in the Preserve. Why don't you bring some more? Also bring water and protection from sun and insects, as the season requires. Please be very careful when reaching in and under to search for boxes.
Directions:
From I-580 exit onto N. Livermore Ave. and turn north. Shortly after N. Livermore curves left (west), turn right onto Morgan Territory Road and follow it 5.3 miles to the staging area. Caution: Much of Morgan Territory Road is one lane.
From Walnut Creek/Concord, take Clayton Road which becomes Marsh Creek Road in Clayton. About 3 miles beyond Clayton, turn right onto Morgan Territory Road. The staging area is 9.4 miles from Marsh Creek Road.
Get a trail map at the staging area. Restrooms are at the staging area and at marked locations along the trail.

Find the second place where the Volvon Trail intersects the Blue Oak Trail. A few paces NE of the trail marker post rests the Motion Machine beneath a rocky cairn.
