McDowell Park Letterbox: the trail next to the playground is closed due to habitat restoration. I hope the letterbox it still there. You can still get to by going the backway if you are adventurous.

CLUES:

Pick up a trail map at the Nature Center.

Creekside Letterbox:

Park at the Nature Center. Follow the left fork of the Pine Hollow trail until you reach the intersection of the Four Seasons Trail. Follow the Four Seasons Trail until you reach the intersection of the Creekside Trail. This is a loop trail and you should take the left fork of the trail. Do not go over the bridge. Continue on the Creekside Trail, up a hill, and across a power line cut. After you cross the power line cut you will continue through a pine forest. Off the trail to the right you will see an old outhouse. The Creekside letterbox is hidden against the back of the outhouse.

Cedar Ridge Letterbox:

Park at the Nature Center. Follow the right fork of the Pine Hollow Trail until you reach the intersection of the Creekside Trail. Take the right fork of the Creekside Trail. Continue on the Creekside Trail until you reach the intersection of the Cedar Ridge Trail. Continue on the Cedar Ridge Trail, Down a steep hill. You will notice a large fallen tree whose end is at a small bridge. The Cedar Ridge Letterbox is hidden under the far side of the small bridge.

McDowell Park Letterbox (MISSING):

Park at(or hike to) the playground. If you are facing the playground, to the left side is a slide. Just to the left of the slide is a trail. Follow this trail down two sets of stairs to the bottom. At this intersection take a right. This is a connector trail from the Chestnut Trail to the Kingfisher Trail. Follow this trail approximately 83 feet and you will see an uprooted tree to the left of the trail. The McDowell Park Letterbox is hidden behind the roots of the uprooted tree.

Happy Hunting!!
