1 - 26 - 06 PULLED BY A FELLOW BOXERS JUST HOURS BEFORE IT WOULD HAVE BEEN LOST FOREVER DUE TO BEACH CLEANUP. THE TREES ARE BEING REMOVED. I WILL NEED TO FIND A NEW SPOT AT LOVER'S KEY SOME TIME IN THE FUTURE. SORRY.

Lovers Key State Park is located north of Naples and south of Fort Myers on the Gulf of Mexico. The park is made up of four islands; Lovers Key, Inner Key, Long Key, and Black Island. The park features canals and tidal lagoons which support an array of fish and aquatic animals. The park boasts of offering "real fun in the real Florida" with fishing, swimming, boating, shelling, picnic and grill facilities and other outdoors activities.

To get to Lovers Key, take I-75 to the Bonita Springs/Gulf Beaches exit. Head west until you reach the park. It is a state park and there is a $4.00 per car admission fee. I recommend you bring your fishing poles, bathing suits, bikes, food and drinks (no alcohol) and make a day of it.
