My name is Diane D'Alessio and these are the directions for the Hammonasset River Letterbox. We placed it June 2001. It's in New Haven County and the Nearest town is Madison. Thank You!
Take The Hammonasset State Park Exit (62) off of I-95. Travel west on the Hammonesset Connector to the blinking traffic light at Greenhill Rd. Take right onto Greenhill Rd. Take 1st left onto Fawn Brook Circle (if you go over the bridge into Killingworth youv'e gone too far) Park on the side of the road at the entrance to Blue Dot Trail. Walk the Blue Dot Trail past the old Paper Mill and dam. Follow the River along the trail until you get to an old stone wall on a hill. The Hammonasset River Letterbox is hidden at the highest point of the wall under a rock.
