#1: The eastern-most Letterbox in the series is in Sweden, near SUNY Brockport. The Elba Onions have other Letterboxes in the neighborhood………and all along the canal. Do a little research; only the “Thankful” ones are listed here.

**** #1 MISSING - BELIEVED STOLEN ****

Redman Road, in Sweden, crosses the Erie Canal. There’s a Canal Access Rd on the northeast side of the canal. Park here.

Walk along the canal and go under the bridge. Standing under the bridge, pretend you’re sitting in a metal folding chair in a bare, grimy room with a single, bright fluorescent bulb glaring into your sweaty face.

**”Where were you on the night of September 2, 1985??”**

Be careful climbing back down.

#2: Get back in your car, go left onto Redman so you re-cross the bridge, and turn right onto Canal Rd. Park right at the end of the guardrail in the little gravel area. Walk along the canal, back under the bridge. Halfway under the bridge look up at the green sign with white numbers. Add the digits together.

Turn West.

Take the number of Onion Steps that equals the sum of the digits.

Hunt around in the rocks.
