MISSING. This has ben confirmed by someone who had found the box before. Only one tattered log book page was found. :-( It won't be replaced.

I used to live in SA many years ago. I returned to visit with friends and wanted to add a few letterboxes to the area. I chose three subjects (from many possible images) that brought back some happy memories for me. I remember the many festivals we would attend where the dancers in their colorful dresses would catch my eye. They are well known in Texas, so I thought this image would be appropriate. This is the dancers box, also look for Cowboys and Longhorns.

Directions:
From Hwy 281, go east on E.Bitters. Stay left onto Starcrest as road splits. Turn left on Jones Maltsberger and go about 1 mile to the McAllister park entry on right. Pull in and park on the left at "Turkey Roost Trail Head and Park".

Clues:
Walk to the bathrooms and go right on the path. Note: If you have eaten recently, please stop in the bathroom and wash your hands to avoid transfering the scent of food to any letterboxes you might find. This will help keep critters from finding them. :-)

Follow the pavement to the first right (no sign). Go past the picnic table and leave the paved trail to enter the woods on a dirt trail. A short distance in, another trail will enter from the left. Pass it up, but count 110 steps from that intersection to the grill. Here I meant to get a compass reading from the N.E. corner (front right corner of the grill), but realized after I got home that I forgot to write it down. If someone could email it to me, I'll add it to the clues. UPDATE: I have been told it is 136 degrees. Thank you to Grumpy Grinch!
Stand facing the opening of the grill and look to your right for some dead trees that lost their tops to gravity or high wind. The larger of the two will be 28 paces from the grill. Next to it is a smaller tree with a hollow base. Look under the rock in the base for some colorful dancers. It will be in a camo covered pill bottle. Please retrieve and re-hide it carefully and without on-lookers.

Let me know if you find it & if you want to 'adopt it'
