BOX UPDATE: Alive and well as of February 6, 2007!
(Thanks to MiniBullyMom for not only providing first aid to this box but for being the caretaker from this point forward! SMILE!)
This box was planted for FF2:Boogie in the Park...Echo's of Times Past and now resides in Millersylvania State Park an 842-acre camping park with 3,300 feet of freshwater shoreline on Deep Lake. The park, filled with trails, is abundant in old-growth cedar and fir trees. Millersylvania was constructed almost entirely by hand in 1935 by the Civilian Conservation Corps.
The park is located ten miles south of Olympia, Wash., on the state's western side. From I-5: Take exit #95. Drive east, and follow signs to park (about three miles northeast of the freeway).
HIKE: EASY
KID FRIENDLY: YES
HAND-CARVED STAMP: YES
HITCH HIKER FRIENDLY: YES
Once you enter the park, follow sign to Kitchen #2 parking area. Turn left at the main trail just beyond the "no parking" barrier. Pass behind the Bathhouse there, then pass behind Kitchen #2.
Stay on the main trail, passing Kitchen #1 on the right, then bear left.Bear to the left of the glade, ignoring the building to your right.Pass Bathroom #1 on the right.Continue to the road, crossing the barrier.Cross the road and go straight into the overnight area, following 80-132.Opposite 80-94, 116-129, “one way”, then left at 78.
Left at 76 between 3 rocks.Cross the road and take the path to the left of the logged parking area.
Rumor has it that the hissing cat has taken up residence behind the split stump at the base.
