This minibox can be found at a Forest Preserve that, coincidentally enough, has the same name as a Will Farrell Movie. I guarantee that the Forest Preserve has more “class” though.

Drive until you get to Shelter C parking lot. Park there. Walk past the shelter, and you will find an unmarked path leading through the prairie grasses and flowers. The big bluestem is beautiful! The path leads out to a crushed gravel trail. Turn to the left and proceed down the crushed gravel trail. It leads to an exceptionally beautiful wooded area. As you go, notice the marshy pond on the left. How many mosquitoes do you think are breeding there? Keep to the trail, watch out for horse droppings and crazy joggers!

Getting tired? There is a little bench up ahead facing a single red oak tree. No place to hide anything there, but a breathtaking view across the grassy prairie. Time to go again. A little way down the path there is a trail marker telling you to stay on the trail. Begin looking to the right. Quite close to the trail are two large downed trees at right angles to each other. The minibox is in the base of the tree closest to the trail. You have to walk in a little bit to get it. Please be careful not to step on any little plants, and watch for poison ivy! You might want to go back to that little bench to do your stamping. If you get as far as the stand of birch trees you’ve gone too far. If you get to the DPR Trail you’ve gone WAY too far. On nice days there is quite a bit of traffic along here. If you want to continue your walk, this trail makes a 2.7-mile loop.
