This box was checked on 4/18/2006 and found to be active and in good condition. PLEASE NOTE: We have added alternate directions for a shorter, easier, and very quick route.

What would nature do? Can wet lands be made as nature planned? The area of Stewart's Pond is being developed as a wet land area to mitigate losses due to other developments. The goal is to maintain wet land acreage without loss. This is a place to enjoy birds, trails and wet lands. Yes, even your dog will enjoy it!

From Eugene, head West on Eleventh Avenue and turn right onto Bertelson Road. Then turn right onto Stewart Road. CHOCOLATE LOVERS TREAT--An Euphoria chocolate outlet is on the corner! So--when possible, park at Stewart Pond Overview.

BREAK THE CODE AND FIND THE BOX.

Now we want to save some places like this.
Forge past the first giant.
Interesting sights are here to be found.
Divert right before the first row of trees on your right to climb a knoll.
Just beside it is the fallen half.
At Stewart Pond's Reader Board is the parking spot.
Cruise the trail.
Kneel down there to reach your quest.
Many things have certainly changed.
Look around, this once was a dairy farm.
Between two posts is where to start.
Hidden in a cluster's left is the giant you must approach.
Encourage all to enjoy the view.
Gaze left at a giant with a "tombstone face"; but, to its' right----
