This box was hidden after the First Canadian Letterbox Gathering. I wanted to leave behind a little token of my hometown, Portland, Oregon also known as the Rose City. The American Rose Society has one of their gorgeous test gardens here and every June, the city holds the second largest floral parade in the United States as part of its annual Rose Festival.

Park at the North Entrance to Campbell Regional Park off 16th in Langley, B.C. A trail map will come in handy for this loop which will take about an hour and a half. All headings are magnetic. Plan for muddy feet in rainy weather.

•Walk south on the Little River Loop.
•Reject the invitation to Listen to incessant babbling.
•Farther south, a trail at 220 degrees will beckon quietly.
•Walk the plank and watch for the small trail at 225.
•Follow it over logs and bogs, up to a T. Wipe your brow.
•At this point you may want to Post a letter or send a Wire.
•When you meet the Fragrant path turn to 290.
•Pass bench, holly and a billion blackberries to the next evergreen on your right.
•You will find the letterbox just behind, beneath mossy wood.
•Continue on this trail and you will return to your starting point.
