Have you ever been camping? Do you have some very special memories of a certain time? Well we do too. We decided to share something special that we do ( you may have done it also) with everyone else.
Directions:
Find your way to Camp Moween State Park in Lebanon, CT. There are excellent directions to this place on Queen B's 'A Boating We Will Go' clues. Once there, park in the small lot, being sure not to block the yellow gate.
Clues:
Go around the yellow gate and walk towards the woods. You will have Red Cedar Lake on your right as you walk over the dike. After entering the woods you will come to your first intersection very shortly. Stay to the right on the southerly path. Continue on this a ways. You will pass 1 trail on your right.
When you come to the next trail on your right, take it. As soon as you turn on it you will see an old brick ?chimney? on your left. You'll know the structure that I am talking about. Go to it. A little beyond that you will see an old fieldstone fireplace. Go to the fireplace. I'm sure many great meals were had here.
Once at the fireplace, stand facing the opening. Take a reading of 90 degrees. You'll see a clump of, 4 living and 1 dead, trees there. Look by this clump under a rock for your special treat.
After rehiding well, return to your car the same way you came in.
Please be careful as there is broken glass in the area.
