Rt.28 to Eagle Bay. Turn on to Big Moose Rd. Proceed north a few miles to Martin Rd. Turn right on to Martin Rd. Go a mile or so
looking on left for small, hand written trailhead sign. 'Billy's
Bald Spot'. Park roadside. Hike up trail. Can be steep in places and
slippery if wet. It's not far to the top. Maybe 350 feet vertical
rise and under a mile. There's an excellent view of Big Moose Lake
from a clearing(bald spot)with a lean-to.
The box is located under a fallen tree about 60-80 feet directly behind the lean-to. It should be concealed by bark. There's a log
book, a rubber stamp and a stamp pad. There are also a few cache
trinkets. Please leave something if you take something and note it in
the log book. Please seal everything up and replace the box just the
way you found it. Please log an entry at this website about your visit
when you get a chance. Thanks. Enjoy this place and be careful on the
way down. Happy letterboxing.
