This is the perfect opportunity for those traveling in western New York State to take frequent breaks and, most importantly, to find some letterboxes. Each box is a drive by which will provide you with numerous opportunities to learn about the Empire State. Enjoy your trip and New York State!
Have you ever wondered which beverage is the state beverage of New York? Here is your chance to find out! Find the Historic New York marker (big, blue sign) at the Ontario Travel Plaza, mile marker 376, on west bound I90. The NY State Beverage letterbox is located at the base of the post on the "Van Accessible" parking space to the right of the blue sign when you are standing in the parking lot. Easy! Please be aware of who is around while finding, stamping and returning the letterbox. Please bring your own pencil and ink pad. Happy trails!
August 3, 2005 update: this LB is fine. We replaced the log, so come & stamp in!
