Kalmbach Memorial Park - Macungie, PA

Back in Action for Spring 2009 with a brand spankin' new logbook.

Find Kalmbach Memorial Park at:

http://www.kalmbachpark.com/

Start at the main parking lot. There will be a sign board with borrowable maps. From this, walk at 110° towards the Meeting House. You’ll see a Gazebo on your right, and then pass behind the house. The creek will have a small dam and bridge. Take the bridge and then the nature trail through the conifer forest across the gravel road. After a short while you shall come to a memorial for Frederick and Margaratha Kalmbach. There are some interesting quotations here. Continue on the nature trail, passing through another conifer forest and then emerge to a field. The trail comes to a T, take the right one at 20°. Soon you will see a bridge on your left, but first take note of the interesting picnic tables. Go left at 210° and when you a approach a Sign Post of the value 2³, you will need to get out your compass. From the Sign Post of the value 2³, 200° for 3 paces to a larger of two nearby haunted trees. From this haunted tree, go 230° for 5 paces to some deadwood. Be careful of muggle snagging stickers.
