The following is the word bank needed to complete the following clues. Some you may be able to fill in before you go…others may only make sense as you go.

To start the part II series, go to the trailhead north of the parking lot across the BIG hard trail and behind the island.

At the first numbered intersection, Ben once again _______all the numbers and arrows. “Let’s follow the trail with the arrow pointing east,” he said.
Christy was excited to see another _______ delight.
“This is like following an old _______,” mused Jon. “Oh my word, look at all the pine _______!”
At the next intersection, they decided to stick with the one with the _______ on the top.
“Wow!” exclaimed Michelle, “there is another huge ‘weeping oak’ on the west side of the trail!”
They passed many _______ ________ pines and then the trail began a slight _______.
As they followed the trail around the curve to the left, Jon remarked, “Look at that stump, it’s bigger than I am and to the side of it lies the rest of the tree!’
They continued along, began a ________, and noticed they were out of the pines and into an area of multi-trunked _________.
Christy stood at the first triple trunked beech and walked south taking _______ equal to the sum of the first and last numbers of the first __________. She stopped and then to the west paced number of paces equal to the first number of the second intersection minus 10. There was a fallen log with ________ in it… and more entertainment.
“Let’s go past all those neat multi trunked trees,” shouted Ben as he ran on ahead. “Whoa, check out the ________ with the ‘broken arm’!”
At the next intersection Michelle thought they should take the trail past the _______ oak tree.
They walked along enjoying all the different kids of trees and ___________.
“Well, look at that!” exclaimed Michelle. “I see it too,” answered Jon. Christy and Ben joined them to look at the two _________ double trunked oaks about 6 feet apart which faced a ________ double trunked oak on the opposite side of the trail.
Jon was off to explore behind the single lone double and found a mighty ________ trunked oak. “Come check this tree,” he called. “But be very careful to watch for ________ vines, and be careful not to step on the little pine trees….Here’s entertainment!”
The kids were ready to head on home. So back to the trail in the southerly direction.
“These pines are standing at __________ for us,” laughed Christy.
At the choice, they decided to follow the red arrow which matched the top number at the first intersection and not the hexagon.
”This is a triple use ________,” said Ben, “and we have to be careful where we step!”
They all laughed and were soon back at the trailhead.
“This has been a very entertaining adventure,” said Ben as they walked home. I am anxious to try letterboxing again soon. “Me too!” replied Christy
