UPDATE (5/5/08)- This box has been adopted. I have had reports that major landmarks are no longer there. Hopefully, I'll get out there soon to check on it. I'll post an update when I do!

Terrain Difficulty: Easy

Description: Lake Park encompasses 6 lakes and is located in Northwestern Hillsborough County. Every year they hold a Balloon festival. It is beautiful to watch them light the fires just before sunrise. This box changed a little bit due to the fact that the 2 times I tried to plant it the park was flooded in some way- even roads shut down. So that is why it uses a small area of the park.

Directions: Lake Park is on North Dale Mabry 1/2 mile south of Van Dyke.

Clue: Your mission, should you choose to accept it is to find the Up, Up, and Away Letterbox. First you must go on a sort of hunt before the hunt- let’s call it a pre-hunt. There are three things you must locate in this park in no particular order.

1) A picnic/Playground area near a large lake
2) A Gray Caution sign
3) An odd fire hydrant

_____ In one of these areas you will find X’s. How many are there?
_____ The sign has a picture. How many letters in this word?
_____ How many colors on the fire hydrant?
_____ What is the date on the fire hydrant?
_____ How many "Picnic shelters" in the 3 areas combined?

Now that you have gathered all of the data you need. In your travels have you passed a fence with an opening? From the Southeast pole take _____ steps at ______ degrees.

Steps= Year on hydrant /
(# of X's + # of colors on hydrant)

Degrees= 10(# letters in picture on sign + # of Picnic Shelters)
