This box has been found as of 2/7/08!

( note: the standing, burned treetrunk has fallen down, so count your paces carefully!)

Difficulty Level: moderately easy
Distance to Letterbox: approx. 1 mile

The Haunted by Waters Letterbox is hidden in River Legacy Park.

To get to the park exit Interstate 30 at Cooper St. and go north until you come to a T intersection. Turn left and pass the River Legacy Living Science Center on your right. Take the next right. This is the main entrance. After you enter the park take the first left and proceed to the first parking lot on the left. Park on the right near the handicapped spaces. Clues start at the sidewalk with the yellow strip down the middle just past the handicapped spaces in the northeast corner of that lot.

Clues:
Walk north on sidewalk until you come to a T.
Turn left and follow sidewalk.
Keep left at the fork.
Look for the "Little Bridge of Snails" on left. If you see that fairly soon you are on the right track!
Continue on sidewalk.
Soon you'll see a stone 1 mile marker.
After that is a blue triangle 1/4 mile marker on sidewalk.
Watch for "Ye Olde Abandoned Bridge" ruins on right. Any trolls lurking? Keep Going!
Behave yourself for soon you'll see a "Police Patrol Turnaround" on right!
Then there's another 1/4 mile marker on sidewalk.
You're about halfway there now! Keep those legs going!
What's this on the right coming up? Is that "Stonehenge" or just a place to rest your weary doggies?
After your rest you'll walk through the "Circle of Life".
Just beyond the Circle is a large clearing. Nearly there!
When you see the "Grandfather of the Forest" laying down on the left you are really getting close.
Wow!, a beautiful wooden deck on the right to gaze at the River.
Find the green trashcan just past this Overlook.
Walk 7 paces past thrashcan (1 pace=2 steps) and face left to find a small footpath through the forest.
Walk to the far edge of the sidewalk and go 22 paces from there on that footpath to a small dead fallen tree on the left.
Find the narrow burned tree trunk with no branches standing behind that about 14 feet from the trail.
The Letterbox is behind that tree at its base.
Have fun!
