New clues!
The box I planted last summer went missing, so I put out a new one this year. :)
Eddie's Grill is an important restaraunt/landmark in Geneva-on-the-Lake, and has been in operation since 1950. Eddie, who is actually the son of the original owner, still works there. :)
This box is located in Geneva State Park, located on Route 20 in Geneva-on-the-Lake, Ohio.
Start by turning into the park and follow the paved road as it passes the maintenance center (where you can turn in and get a map, if you choose). The road turns to the left. On the right, you will see a large parking lot for the Crabapple Picnic Area.
Turn into the lot and park in the back right corner. You will be facing a picnic shelter.
Take the path toward the shelter, passing the horseshoe pits. Count 90 steps from when you enter the woods, and you should see on your right a huge rotted gnarled tree several steps off the trail. Go to it and find the box in a rotted log at the base of the tree.
Extra warning: When we were there planting, the poison ivy was abundant. Please be careful!
First finders, please email me for a certificate. :) And be sure to find my other two boxes in Geneva State Park, Mini Golf and The Firehouse.
