This letterbox is located at Ball Cemetery, a private cemetery just south of Springfield, Nebraska that is rumored to be one of the most haunted in Nebraska. Signs are posted throughout declaring it to be off-limits, but it is frequently visited — unfortunately, some visitors are not respectful, leaving empty bottles and whatnot. Do everyone a favor — leave the cemetery cleaner than you found it. If anyone queries you, just claim you got lost.
To find the cemetery, take I-80 west from Omaha until you reach exit 50 at 144th street. Go south past Springfield. Cross Buffalo Creek and turn right on Cornish Road. Travel up this dirt road to 176th street (it will be just past a farmhouse with a large happy face on the garage). Go left and follow the fork to the left. There's Ball Cemetery. To find the letterbox, follow these clues:
Through the threshhold
Under the arch
To the fourth row of trees —
forward march.
Turn in the direction
of the sinister hand.
Creep forward
Over the hallowed land.
Between father and mother,
forget me not.
Take the bait,
beneath which I rot.
In a darkened hollow
Reach and grab
The secret you'll uncover
'Neath a horizontal slab.
