*** Part of my Dr. Seuss Series ***
Terrain Difficulty: Easy (flat, 400 yards RT)
Status: alive
In the Dr. Seuss book "The Cat In The Hat", the cat brought in a box containing two things, Thing 1 and Thing 2. They liked to have fun but in the process made a huge mess in the house. Luckily, I have put Thing 1 outside at Woodland Lake Park so you don't have to worry about cleaning up a mess. I found this nice park while staying in the town of Pinetop on vacation and I hope you enjoy it while looking for this microbox.
Directions:
From Hwy 260 in town, turn west on Woodland Lake Road and go .3 mile. At Woodland Lake Park sign, turn right and follow road to parking area at its end (.5 mile) near fishing pier and bridge.
Clues:
Walk north away from the lake to the Turkey Track Trail near the picnic pavilion. At the Y, take the left fork for about 125 steps until you see 2 pine trees together on the left. Go right off trail for 28 steps to an old 3 foot stump. The microbox is within under a rock. Please replace as described and be discreet.
