The Champagne Capital, Epernay, France was bombed over 25 times during WW II. As a result there are few remnants of the town original architecture. Find the Portail de St. Martin, where a small memorial park is. There you will find a statue with three cherubs. One cherub is staring at the exact location of the letterbox, just a few feet away.
