NOTE: DNR stream work in the area moved and rearranged all the 'markers'. If you printed the clues before early fall 2004, you have the old ones and will need to make a new copy!
Iowa, Cedar Rapids area
Start at the junction of I380 & J Avenue NE
Locate that which draws all the childern, and the sign that names this place. Then follow the stream northward. You can start out on the paved trail, but it soon becomes better to follow the dirt. Continue following until you find double pairs of the drain culverts (should be concrete on one side and metal on the other).
Look across the stream for a fence. That is where you want to be. I'll leave it to you to figure out how/where to cross, but once you get to the other side make your way to the spot you 'mentally' marked out. From this spot find a the tree that leaning at about 45 degrees. Under it you'll find the box.
Sept. 06, in last the six weeks several people have contacted me and asked if the box is still there. I don't mind email at all and feel free to contact me! However it is getting repeative, and if it saves time... YES THE BOX IS STILL THERE :)
