*************This cute box was just determined to be missing....so sorry***************************************

This is a hitchhiker hostel. Inside this hostel you will find the stamp and log book of The Jungle Inn and a hitchhiker (so you will get two stamps in this find). You must bring a hitchhiker with you to stay at this Inn in order to take the hitchhiker already residing there. This way, there will always be a hitchhiker in there waiting to travel with you and a bed will never be empty.

This is a very short walk in a great spot for picnics, frisbee, ball throwing, duck feeding (bring that old bread), and has a kids playground and a dog park. You could definitely stay awhile if you had some time.

Directions:
(these are from south of San Rafael)
Take the North San Pedro Exit off of HWY 101 and head east. Turn left at the first street light onto Civic Center Drive. Stay in the right lane.
Note: The post office on your right and the blue building on your left are both designed by Frank LLoyd Wright.
Turn right onto Armory Drive (1st right after fire station). If you drive passed the lake you have gone too far.
Park closest to the 2 blue/beige entrance booths (on your left side).

Clues:
Start by entering past the two booths. Walk on the path along the lake with the lake to your left side. Sit at the last picnic table before the bridge and next to a green water fountain. From here, continue walking (do not go across the bridge) 42 steps and stop near a tree to your left with 3 branches. Face the tree. If you had x-ray vision and you looked beyond it, you would see the box. Walk into the grass and toward the ravine/gulley. This has really become overgrown lately. There is a tree on the ground that has foliage growing out of it. Step down and right onto the split tree that jets down into the ravine. To your right you can see under the branch on the ground. The box is under that big branch. Step down and look under it. The box is behind a big rock. I think you'll like it! Please replace it when you are done.

Note: Stamping is tricky at this hostel. People forget to stamp their HH into The Jungle Inn, as well as their personal stamp. Then their HH book and their personal book has to be stamped by The Jungle Inn. The HH that is being picked up from The Jungle Inn needs to be stamped into the personal book but also make sure it has received a stamp from The Jungle Inn and that The Jungle Inn book received a stamp from the HH before you remove it. Much more confusing than a regular box.
Also, when ever you find a HH you should email Pete at wandaandpete@yahoo.com and let them know where you found it so they can document the travels of the HH's.

Happy Hunting and be aware of people around you so you keep this spot secret.
