Douggerware

‘Twas winter and the Lightnin’ Bug
Did hide plastic in Penn’s wood.
The Grove of Hunsicker was his plan
And he hoped to hide it good.

“Beware the Douggerware my son!
The lid that seals, beneath some rock!
Beware the book and pad, and shun
The frumious rubber block!”

He took his magnetic sword in hand:
Long time the elusive box he sought - -
So rested on by the pavilion dock,
And stood awhile in thought.

And, as in buggish though he stood,
The Douggerware with lid of green,
Across the pond at 170 degrees,
Near a bell that can be tolled and may be seen!

23 more paces at 175 degrees
Behind the stout tree, SPOR out back!
He found the box, and with its stuff
He went galumphing back.

“And, has thou found the Douggerware?
Come to my discrete spot, my boxing boy!
O boxious day! Callooh! Callay!”
He chortled in his joy.

‘Twas winter and the Lightnin’ Bug
Did hide plastic in Penn’s wood.
The Grove of Hunsicker was his plan
And he hoped to hide it good.
