THIS BOX HAS BEEN RETIRED.
This is more than just a nature trail. And more than just a park. It’s a zoo. A zoo in Athens? Believe it or not. It is not well known, but it’s been here since the 40’s. And it’s a great place to see eagles, owls, turkeys, bears, deer, gators, and other captive native species. Attraction #58 on the Visitor’s map, you get there from Gran Ellen Drive off of Milledge Avenue.
